SPONSOR A CHILD IN EXILE: TIBETAN HOMES FOUNDATION

Tibetan Homes Foundation (THF) is a registered charity established by His Holiness Tenzin Gyatso the 14th Dalai Lama soon after his escape from Tibet in 1959.  The Foundation was started in 1962 and is based in Mussoorie, India, a popular hill station in the lower Himalayas, where His Holiness the Dalai Lama first established the Tibetan Government-in-Eexile before shifting to Dharamsala.  THF has created a HOME AWAY FROM HOME for the Tibetan refugee children in exile, with a Tibetan up-bringing and modern education.  To achieve its objectives, THF runs family homes, schools, a vocational training centre, dispensary and senior citizen homes.  Presently THF has 2,479 children and more than 250 elderly under its care.  The THF appeals to all supporters and sponsors to provide financial assistance to their children.
